Sony is partnering with its three electronics divisions, Sony Mobile Communications, Imaging Products and Solutions and Home Entertainment and Sound. Sony will merge these divisions with Sony Electronics Corporation from 1st April.
This means that Sony’s consumer camera, phone business, TV and home audio hardware will all be controlled by the same company.
The purpose of this change is to better integrate different but one product and make the company more active.
In addition, all three divisions will have global sales, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, procurement and engineering in one place.
This will make these departments work better and make more profit for the company.
Interactive Entertainment, which develops PlayStation consoles and games, will continue to work as an independent company.
The company’s imaging sensor division and its professional equipment making division, Those who make cameras and broadcast devices for studios will also work separately.
Sony’s music and film, medical and financial divisions are also not being restructured.
